Meet the Team
Hi everyone, my name is Lucy and I am the Director of Athletix Kidz. I am a nationally ranked 100m sprinter and I have recently transitioned from the track to the Rugby Pitch for Harlequins. After noticing there was a gap in the market for an Athletics programme for 2 ½ - 8 year olds I thought this was an excellent opportunity to use my background in athletics and my passion for the physical and social development of young children to create Athletix Kidz! I graduated from Bath University in 2021 with a degree in Sports performance. I am also Head of Athletic development at Reigate Grammar School. I have been coaching at Athletix Kidz for 7 years and it’s great to see the children learn and progress whilst having lots of fun. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
Hi my name is Sarah (Lucy’s Mum), I am a qualified Montessori Nursery Teacher and co-founded Athletix Kidz in 2016. I have a passion for working with children and love to see how they progress each session, whether it be their confidence improving or their running, jumping or throwing skills developing. Outside of AK I have four grown up children who have all helped with AK making it a real family business. In my spare time I love to walk my Golden Retriever Oscar.
Hi everyone, my name is Kat and I am super excited to be joining the Athletix Kidz team. I work as a Primary school teacher in South London and have coached Netball teams and organised the PE curriculum in my past schools. I heard about Athletix Kidz through a friend when I was looking for a suitable Athletics programme for my 3 year old son. We joined Athletix Kidz and have never looked back! Can't wait to meet you soon and I know AK will give your children the same great experience it has given mine!
Hi my name is Jack (Lucy’s brother). I joined AK 6 months ago and really enjoy coaching the children. I enjoy passing on my knowledge of the sport to inspire the children. I was a county Sprinter and Long jumper and have a Level 2 in sports leadership. I’m currently also in the Surrey Rugby Squad.
Hey guys, my name is Hannah and I’ve been lucky enough to coach at Athletix Kidz for the past 7 years. I have enjoyed every minute of my time with the AK Team. Sport has been my passion from a very young age. I have been playing football since I was 5 years old. I went to Reigate College and studied Sport for 2 years.
Hi everyone, my name is Ed and I’m very excited to be working with the Athletix Kidz team. I went to Reigate Grammar School from Year 7 – 11 and I am now currently studying at Reigate college. I have always been passionate about sport and played Rugby for many years. I look forward to meeting you all soon!
Hi , I'm Heather and I'm so happy to be back with the Athletix Kidz team! I'm a mum of 2 lovely boys and work at their school too. Both my boys were AK members but are now too old! It was great to watch them progress, make friends and gain confidence throughout their time with AK. I am passionate about fitness/ physical health and the impact it has on mental health, supporting others and I love seeing people reach new goals they never thought was possible!
Hi, I'm Zoe, mum of 2 and community centre manager. I became an Athletix Kidz coach when my children attended the sessions. This was a fantastic opportunity for me as I really enjoy working with children and helping them grow and learn whilst having fun.
Hey, I’m Ellie. I have played sport for as long as I can remember! My main sports are squash and football, having competed up to a regional level, as well as placing third at British Champs for Racketlon. I have had lots of experience coaching children across a wide range of sports. I am passionate about getting more girls involved in sport and developing children’s athletic development and core sporting skills. I am super excited to meet you all!
Hi everyone, my name is Ray, I am super excited to be apart of AK! I have loads of experience working with children. I have recently retired from playing professional rugby, now playing semi pro for Dorking. Excited to pass on all my experience on to the next generation!
